Mali’s President, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, has sacked the Prime Minister, Modibo Keita.
According to a decree read on state-owned television late on Saturday, Keita has replaced his former Prime Minister with Abdoulaye Idrissa Maiga.
Maiga was previously Mali’s Minister of Defence.
Keita became prime minister in 2015.
