The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Saturday’s Kogi State governorship election, Alhaji Abubakar Audu, has extended his lead over his main rival in the election and incumbent, Captain Idris Wada, after the release of results from 20 local government areas.
The results released so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission shows Audu leading in most of the local government areas announced so far.
As at the last results released from 20 local government areas out of 21 that the state has, Audu had 229,440 votes, while Wada garnered 188,942.
