Four of the remaining killers of four operatives of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team August 11, 2018 and kidnappers of a 15-year-old girl, Hadiza Mohammed in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State on August 25, 2018 have been arrested.
The arrest followed the unrelenting follow up on the cases by operatives of the IGP-IRT, led by a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari.
The four are confirmed members of the kidnapping syndicate terrorising Maidaro/Birnin Gwari and Zaria/Giwa Axis of Kaduna State and also responsible for the ambush and killing of four IRT personnel.
The all male gang members arrested were Ayuba Dabo, 27; Samaila Chiroma, popularly known as Ilu; Isah Bello Bahago; and Haruna Jibrin, 23.
They were all arrested in Giwa LGA of Kaduna State after serious gun battle with the IRT operatives.
All the suspects were said to have confessed to the recent kidnapping of Mohammed, several armed robberies, kidnappings, cattle rustling in Kaduna State and the recent ambush and killing of four IRT Personnel.
The suspects were said to have listed their gang leaders as Buhari General and Alhaji Mamuda, who reportedly also participated in the ambush and killing of the four IRT personnel in Kaduna.
They said General and Mamuda are the ones in possession of their remaining operational weapons.
