President Goodluck Jonathan; the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal; and the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, are among notable Nigerians who have sent messages of goodwill to the President of the Senate, Senator David Mark.
Mark is currently receiving medical treatment in Israel.
According to a statement by Mark’s Special Advsier (Media), Kola Ologbodiyan, Jonathan spoke with the president of the Senate on the phone on Monday night.
He prayed for his quick recovery to enable him return to his desk in Nigeria.
“We are praying for your quick recovery back home and wish that you return to your desk quickly too,” Jonathan told Mark.
Tambuwal prayed for Allah’s blessings and protection for Mark, adding that the members of the House were wishing him well and also praying that he joined them in the National Assembly very soon.
Ekweremadu, who spoke with Mark on Monday, expressed the goodwill messages of the Senate, noting that all his colleagues were with him in their prayers.
Mark, in answering the various calls, expressed his gratitude to Jonathan and other Nigerians who remember him in their prayers, adding that his fast recovery is a function of their prayers and best wishes.
