The gunmen, who attacked Maranatha Baptist Church and St. Moses Catholic Church in Rubu community of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday, have asked for N100 million to free the 36 worshippers they abducted.
This was disclosed by a traditional leader of Angwan Fada at Rubu community, Elisha Mari, to newsmen on Monday.
Mari spoke with newsmen during a visit to the area by heads of security agencies in the state.
During the visit that also had a delegation from the Kaduna State Government, the traditional leader said he was freed because of his status, but was asked to raise at least N100 million in ransom before others in their hold would be released.
The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said during the visit that three persons were killed in the attack.
