The Nigerian Meteorological Agency predicted cloudy to partly cloudy weather conditions and localised thunderstorms over most parts of the country on Tuesday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook on Monday in Abuja predicted dust haze condition over the Northern parts of the country for the day.
It said partly cloudy to cloudy morning with prospects of localised thundery activities would prevail over the central states like Abuja and Lokoja.
The agency predicted thunderstorms over Makurdi and Mambilla Plateau in the afternoon and evening with day and night temperatures of 27 to 39 and 20 to 27 degrees Celsius.
It also predicted that Northern States would experience dust haze conditions and localised visibility range of one to three kilometres with day and night temperatures of 36 to 41 and 22 to 25 degrees Celsius.
According to NiMet, Southern States will experience cloudy conditions over the inlands and the coast in the morning period.
NiMet predicted: “Later in the afternoon and evening period, there are chances of scattered thunderstorms over the region with day and night temperatures of 27 to 34 and 21 to 24 degrees Celsius.
“The extreme north is expected to be in dust haze conditions.
“Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions will prevail over the central states down to the southern states in the morning hours with scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours.”
