Three Principal Officers of the Lagos State House of Assembly have resigned.
The Principal Officers resigned on Monday during an emergency plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda.
Those who resigned were the Deputy Speaker, Mojeed Fatai; Chief Whip, Setonji David; and Deputy Chief Whip, Sani Okanlawon, has resigned.
After the resignation of the Chief Whip and Deputy Chief Whip, David was reappointed as the Deputy Chief Whip.

After his resignation, Fatai was reappointed as the Chief Whip.
The resignation and reappointment was to allow for a return to the pre-January 13, 2025 era where Mudashiru Obasa was the Speaker of the Assembly.
