Armed robbers attack Kano Pillars

Members of the Kano Pillars Football Club were attacked on their way to honour their league opener against Heartland FC of Owerri in Imo State.
The Eagle Online gathered that some of the players were shot and are receiving treatment in hospital in Lokoja, Kogi State.
A member of the team’s committee on continental, Alhaji Abba Yola, who confirmed the development, said the players were attacked at Abaji en route Owerri for this weekend’s tie.
Abba informed that some of the players were shot in the hand, while others were hit on the head.
Some of the players receiving treatment are Gambo Mohammed, Otekpa Energy, Ekpai Ubong and Reuben Ogbonnaya.
