Turkish Airlines has produced a new in-flight safety video in order to enhance security and passenger protection during flights.
Turkish Airlines Country Manager in Nigeria, Tarkan Ince, made this known in a statement on Saturday in Lagos.
Ince said the initiative was informed by the significant growth in the number of first time travelers the airline had attracted over the years.
According to him, the main purpose of the video is to keep passengers’ attention high during the explanation of important safety procedures, using the power of magic.
He said: “For passengers from Nigeria and across other African countries and beyond, Turkish Airlines is offering a new proposition, which underscores the significance that we place on safety of passengers while on board.
“We have always put safety first in what we do and it is our belief that this is one initiative that will delight our customers to fly with us as their best airline, as we constantly put their safety first.”
Ince said that the video, riding on the latest high definition technology, would improve the safety of its passengers in Nigeria and other countries of its operations.
Ince said that the new video featured filmmaker and social media phenomenon, Zach King, and that the airline had been rated for six consecutive years as Europe’s best airline.
The rating, he said, was according to Skytrax, a United Kingdom-based consultancy, which runs an airline and airport review and ranking site.
İlker Ayci, the Chairman of the Board of Turkish Airlines, said that with safety being the number one priority of the airline, creating concise and engaging safety communications had become extremely important.
Ayci said: “Here at Turkish Airlines, we constantly strive to find the most effective and innovative ways to deliver excellent services and overachiever passenger expectations, ensuring the highest level of security during all our operations.
“Watching the film, passengers are flipped between reality and illusion, with King bringing key aspects of in-flight safety to life, through his signature digital slight of hand tricks.”
The in-flight safety video is currently available and can be watched on YouTube.
