Jose Mourinho’s side managed to avoid Roma, Ajax, Schalke, Lyon and Besiktas in the first knockout round of the tournament.
The Red Devils will face a team which currently sits eighth in Ligue 1 and have won less than half of their 17 domestic fixtures.
United midfielder, Paul Pogba, may come up against his brother, Florentin, who has been playing for the club since his 2012 switch from Sedan.
The two clubs have faced one another just twice before, which was in 1977, with one of the fixtures ending in a draw and the other won by United.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur, who dropped into the second tiered European tournament as a result of finishing third in their Champions League group, will face Gent in the last-32 stage.
The first legs will be played on February 16, with the return legs one week later.
