The Pastor of the Living Faith Church, popularly known as Winners Chapel, in Kuru Karma and Gada Biu area of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State has been shot dead.
The pastor, whose name was not available as at press time, was shot dead on Wednesday by yet to be identified persons.
Source told the Eagle Online that his body as at the time of this report was lying beside the road where he was pushed down from a vehicle he boarded from Bukuru in Jos South Local Government Area of the state.
Earlier on Wednesday, a soldier was accused of shooting and killing a woman in Heipang at a point close to where the pastor’s remains were found.
The soldier also reportedly injured another woman.
The women were reportedly protesting the mounting of a road block in Heipang, close to the point the Pastor’s incident took place.
Information also has it there has been continuous gun battle between the Fulani and the Berom communities in Barkin Ladi and Riyom Local Government Areas since Monday.
The Living Faith Church is pastored by Bishop David Oyedepo.
