Former Super Eagles’ winger, Victor Moses, has hailed the electrifying atmosphere at new club Fenerbahce after making his debut in their 3-2 win over Yeni Melatyaspor on Monday night.
The former Wigan Athletic star signed for Fenerbahce last week and came off the bench in the 66th minute against Melatyaspor with the scores level at 2-2 before Mehmet Topal scored four minutes from time to earn the former league champions their first win in six outings.
Moses, who was marveled at the support of the fans during his introduction, praised the team for the important win whilst saying he was happy to have started on a winning note.
He said: “I’m very happy to get an important win. We are very pleased. From the first moment of the match, you saw how willing and determined our teammates are. I’m very happy to be here and be a footballer of this team. Three points were very important tonight.
“It was a fabulous atmosphere. Saw a great atmosphere. It was incredible. I want to say I can’t believe it. I had heard a lot about Fenerbahce fans but it was really amazing to see them with my own eyes this evening.
“I’m glad I had the chance to play football in this atmosphere. I would like to thank everyone who came here. They gave me confidence. They motivated me and my teammates.
“I started training. I feel different. I’m happy. From the moment I stepped into our facilities, I felt the size of the club. I felt this power. Let’s grow up together. I want to play my football and enjoy this.”
The 28-year-old joined the club on loan until the end of the 2019/2020 season after failing to convince Maurizio Sarri for a place in Chelsea’s first team.
