The League of Veteran Journalists in Oyo State has congratulated Nigerian Muslims on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival holding on Monday across the world.
A statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the association, Wale Adelowo, said the League rejoices with Nigerian Muslims who are joining their faith colleagues around the world to mark this year’s celebrations.
The League noted that the lessons of the celebration, which include absolute trust and faithfulness to one’s religious doctrine, should be imbibed by all Nigerians, especially at this critical time of economic recession, which the country is passing through.
The League used the occasion to pray for continued peace in the country and urged all Nigerians to give the Buhari Administration more time to fix the troubled economy.
