Two persons were killed on Tuesday in Benin, Edo State following renewed rivalry between two cult groups.
The police spokesman in the state, DSP Moses Eguavoen, who confirmed the killing, said investigation was ongoing on the matter.
Eguavoen said the corpse of the victims had been deposited at the Central Hospital mortuary in Benin by men of the command.
According to him, the two victims have been identified.
He said that they were killed at different locations at Ugbiyoko in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.
One of the victims was said to be a final year student in one of the institutions in Benin.
A police source said that one the deceased was shot at a residence at Uyi when he was going to work.
The police spokesman said that no arrest had been made.
