The media had reported that a counsel to the Department of State Service, Idowu Awo, told the Federal High Court, on Wednesday, that the case file relating to the Fundamental Human Rights Enforcement application filed by the aides to Igboho, was hijacked by armed robbers.
The counsel revealed this on Wednesday when the case came up before Justice Obiora Egwuatu in Abuja.
The charges were filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja after over two months since the secret police arrested and detained the two aides of the activist and the DSS refusal to grant them bail despite a court order.
In a leaked audio while speaking on his situation in Benin Republic, Igboho said that he is not afraid to return to Nigeria since the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Daniel Kanu, with whom he is fighting the same battle together, is in Nigeria.
