Aareonakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, has condemned in strong terms, the arrest on Monday of Yoruba nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho in Cotonou, Republic of Benin.
The clarification followed reports that Igboho had been released and was already on his way to Germany after his arrest on Monday
In a statement by its Director of Public Communication, Taju Tijani, the group said though the details of Igboho’s arrest are still sketchy, it is “watching with intense fascination as the drama of his illegal detention unfolds.”

The traditional ruler made the appeal while receiving some residents, who were protesting against last Thursday’s raiding of Sunday Igboho’s house by the operatives of Department of State Services.
