It would be recalled that the DSS operatives had prevented the journalists from taking the photographs or videos of the detainees who were arrested on July 1, following a raid on Igboho’s residence at Soka Area of Ibadan in Oyo State.
However, the DSS brought eight of the detainees before Justice Obiora Egwuatu, following the ex-parte motion moved by counsel to the applicants, Pelumi Olajengbesi, on July 23.

DSS’ lawyer, I. Awo told a Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday that, as against the claim by lawyers to the associates that 12 of them were being held, it has three – Amoda Babatunde (aka Lady K), Diokola Adeyemo Admola and Bamidele Sunday – in its custody.
The court, on Thursday, took the decision to adjourn till Monday because the Department of State Services failed to produce the detained aides as earlier ordered by the court.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu gave the order after counsel to the applicants, Pelumi Olajengbesi, moved the ex-parte motion marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/647/2021 dated July 7 and filed July 8.
The court on Thursday evening ordered that Igboho be remanded in the custody of Brigade Criminelle in Cotonou pending the submission of charges by the Nigerian government.
Igboho, who was arrested at Cadjèhoun Airport in Cotonou on Monday night, is being tried for immigration-related offences.
