The clash was said to have occurred on Isolo Road in Mushin area of the State when the Task Force members moved in to apprehend the riders for violation of the laws on their operation

SP Olayinka Egbeyemi, the Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force, who led the enforcement operations along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, disclosed that 19 motorists were apprehended for driving against oncoming vehicles (one-way), which is contrary to Scheduled (1) item 27 of the Lagos State Road Traffic Laws of 2012.
SP Olayinka Egbeyemi, the Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force, who led the enforcement operations, disclosed that these six vehicles and 68 motorcycles were caught driving or riding against traffic, which is an offence under the Lagos State Road Traffic Laws of 2012.
The task force chairman, Olayinka Egbeyemi, said that full enforcement of the operations would commence after the expiration of a 48-hour quit notice served on the affected people by the agency.
The arrest followed the commencement of the demolition of illegal structures in the area by the Lagos State Government
According to available information, those arrested so far are being questioned by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni

He said preliminary investigation with available documents (receipts) revealed that these illegal business had been on for over seven years and adulterated diesel were supplied to the public, particularly big companies, across the state
