According to a family source, a commendation and song service is slated for the Media Centre of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos on Wednesday at 5pm, while she will be interred on Thursday at 29, Ogunjobi Street, Logunlogun Site, Igboolomu Junction, Agric, Ikorodu, Lagos at 10am.

The Nigeria Football Federation has said it is “terribly saddened” at news of the death on August 21 of former Super Falcons attacking midfielder, Ifeanyichukwu Chiejine.

Chiejine, according to a source, died during a brief illness.
