The resolution was passed sequel to the adoption of a motion titled: ‘A case of missing journalist, need to investigate circumstances surrounding the disappearance’, sponsored by the Minority Leader, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu,(PDP-DELTA) who expressed concern over the efficiency of the nation’s security apparatus.
The lawmakers, including Chairman, House Committee on Judiciary, Hon. Luke Onofiok, Minority Leader, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Hon. Abubakar Kabir among others, gave the charge during the debate on the general principles of the 2022 Appropriation bill.
Elumelu who stated this at the 93rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), observed that the resolution brought deep relief to Nigerians and restored public confidence in the party ahead of the 2023 general election.
Hon. Elumelu gave the charge in Abuja during the 92nd National Executive Committee meeting of the PDP.
