The Court’s Communications Department disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja, following the judgment of the court on the matter on Thursday.
In its ruling on Friday, the court also ordered the Nigerian State Government to pay an interest of 6.5 per cent per annum on the amount starting from August 31, 2018.
The Court adjourned the suit for judgment after hearing arguments from Solicitor to SERAP, Femi Falana (SAN), and the government lawyer, Adedayo Ogundele.
