The Governor also revealed that his administration, within the period has paid a total sum of N2.9 billion as gratuity to retired civil servants and local government staff.

Dr Fayemi, who personally presented the cheques to representatives of the communities at the Oshuntokun Hall, Government House, Ado-Ekiti, said the fund would focus on three specific result areas: education, healthcare services, water and sanitation.

Fayemi, in a statement signed Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Olayinka Oyebode, described Ramadan as “the glory of all months in the Islamic calendar”, noting that Ramadan fast is one of the five pillars of Islam that Muslims must strictly adhere to, in line with the injunction of the Almighty Allah.
