Premier League side, Swansea, have joined the race to sign Nigerian international, Kelechi Iheanacho.
The £20m-rated striker has been told he will be leaving the club this summer and West Ham were at the front of the crew for him, but Swansea have joined the Hammers in the race to sign him, according to report.
Just two weeks ago Iheanacho said in an interview for the BBC World Service, he accepted that he will have to fight for his place at City, and “shouldn’t be complaining about not getting a game”.
The 20-year-old said: “All I know is that I’m still at Manchester City, I’m still a Manchester City player so all the news that’s going on about teams wanting to buy me, I try not to know about that.
“People will go on holiday and we will see. It’s not only me that hasn’t been playing, there’s other players.”
Both Southampton and Leicester are also interested in signing the striker who has scored 21 goals for Manchester City in just 2080 minutes of professional football over the last two seasons.
The current third-choice centre-forward behind Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus, Iheanacho wants to stay in the Premier League if he is to leave City in order to gain UK citizenship down the line.
