A stylist, Cecilia Kelvin, on Tuesday appeared in a Grade I Area Court, Mpape, Abuja for allegedly being in possession of 32 pieces of hair extensions, attachments, cream relaxers and others worth N400,000.
The police charged Kelvin, 21, with one count of being in possession of stolen property.
The Prosecution Counsel, M.M. Augustine, told the court that the complainant, Chucks Ezijem, reported that on March 9, a beauty salon located at Mashafa Road Mpape, belonging to his wife, was broken into.
Augustine said a generator set, 32 pieces of hair extensions, attachments, cream relaxers and others valued at N400,000 were stolen from the salon.
During Police investigation, he said, the defendant was arrested and some of the stolen items were recovered from her.
The offence, Augustine said, contravened the provisions of Section 316 of the Penal Code.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Judge, Salihu Ibrahim, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N300,000 with one reliable surety in like sum.
Ibrahim adjourned the case until March 25 for hearing.
