Salisu Yusuf is expected to finalised his contractual talk as the substantive chief coach of the Super Eagles next week.
On his contract and continued delay in the payment of his salary arrears, the tactician said: “My contract has been partially sealed but it will be perfectly sealed next week because the head of legal department was not on seat today for us to finalise grail areas.
“As for my not complaining for the arrears of debt the football federation owes me, I want to say that some of the clubs I handled equally owe me. I don’t complain because it is a Nigeria situation and we have to live with it. However, I am still expecting the payment of the backlog salaries and other financial emoluments,” he noted.
Yusuf however expressed confidence that the football federation will pay him arrears of his salaries and other financial emoluments.
Speaking on the insinuations that the team’s Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, has relegated him to the background with the presence his foreign assistant, insisting that he has a cordial working relationship with him.
Asked for confirmation of the speculations that Rohr has relegated him to the background, he thundered: “There is no iota of truth on the speculations that the Technical Adviser has relegated me to the background with the presence of his assistant in the team’s technical crew.
“I am still in the same position that the NFF gave to me and for your information, he always calls me and we still talk from time to time. There is nothing like relegating me to the background,” he insisted.
