A High Court. In Rivers State was on Monday morning bombed, according to information made available by the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party.
A statement, signed by Jerry Needam on behalf of the statement Chairman of the PDP, Felix Obuah, said the High Court, located in Ahoada, was bombed shortly before a case against the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Evans Bipi, was due to commence.
The case is to seek an injunction seeking to restrain Bipi from parading himself as the speaker of the House.
It was to be heard by Justice Charles Wali.
The PDP said it’s team of lawyers from Abuja and Lagos had arrived the court premises only to discover it had been bombed.
