The Police Command in Lagos State has arrested a suspected bus thief, Ahmed Ayinde, trying to sell a stolen bus in the Mushin area of the state.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos.
He said that a concerned citizen, who suspected that the bus must have been stolen, contacted the police who stormed the scene.
“Police officers were alerted when the suspect attempted selling a Suzuki minibus popularly called ‘Korope’ with registration number EKY 902 YA without document.

“The suspect was arrested and the exhibit recovered,” he said.
Hundeyin said that investigation revealed that the suspect had stolen the vehicle from Iyana Ipaja axis of the state.
The image-maker called on the owner of the minibus to come with valid proof of ownership to claim the vehicle.
