The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) has announced that the hearing of three petitions filed by Atiku Abubakar and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) will end in August this year.
To this end, the Special Court held that hearing would end August 8 with adoption of final written addresses in the petition by Atiku/PDP.
Also, the court fixed May 30 for the commencement of trial in the three petitions during which the petitioners will be expected to call their first sets of witnesses.
In relation to the petition by Obi and the LP, the court has chosen August 5 for final adoption, while the petitioners are required to conduct their case within three weeks.
In the same vein, the APM was given one day to conduct its case, while July 3 is chosen as the date for final adoption, after which a date will be fixed for judgment.
