Festac Town in Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State was on Friday morning thrown into panic as some hoodlums, identified as land grabbers, engaged in a gun duel.
The land grabbers clashed around Fifth Avenue of the estate.
According to sources, the sporadic shooting lasted for several hours, leading to speculations that armed robbers were attacking banks in the area.
The panic alert was, however, put to rest by the Lagos State Police Command.
Its spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, said there was no robbery incident in the area.
