Super Eagles’ defender, Kenneth Omeruo, on Tuesday joined Boro on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old player, who can play at centre-back and full-back, has yet to make his debut for Chelsea but is highly rated at Stamford Bridge.
He was signed from Belgian club, Standard Liege, in January 2012 and immediately went on loan to Dutch top-flight side, ADO Den Haag.
Omeruo made his senior debut for his national team last season as a 19-year-old and impressed in the side that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
He has since become a regular, winning 14 caps and also played in the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil.
He is anxious for first-team club football to press his claims of playing for Nigeria in this summer’s World Cup finals.
Omeruo played a total of 36 games for ADO Den Haag, scoring two goals.
