The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted sunny and hazy weather conditions over the central states of the country Sunday.
NiMet made the prediction in the Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Saturday.
It also predicted that the region would have day and night temperature of 34 to 38 degrees Celsius and 17 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively except over Jos with 29 to 14 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted cloudy morning over the southern inland and coastal cities with isolated thunderstorms over Akure, Benin, Warri, Obudu, Calabar, Eket, Port-Harcourt, Ijebu-Ode and Lagos during the afternoon period.
It also predicted day and night time temperatures of 33 to 36 degrees Celsius and 21 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively over the region.
According to the forecast, northern states of Sokoto and Yelwa will be under the influence of dust haze conditions with visibility range of two to five kilometers.
NiMet stated: “The other parts of the region will experience sunny and hazy condition with day and night temperatures of 34 to 39 degrees Celsius and 14 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively.”
