The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted moderate dust haze conditions over the central states of the country on Saturday with localised visibility of less than or equal to 1000m.
NiMet made the prediction in the Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Friday.
The agency added that the region would have day and night temperature of 26 to 33 degrees Celsius and 10 to 22 degrees Celsius respectively.
The agency predicted that the Southern states would experience dust haze conditions with visibility of two to five kilometers and less than 2000m over Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Eket, Ibadan and Akure.
It also predicted that the region would have day and night temperatures of 32 to 33 degrees and 15 to 22 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, northern states will be under the influence of dust haze conditions with visibility range of two to five kilometers.
NiMet predicted: “Nguru, Maiduguri and Potiskum may have visibility of less than 1000m during the morning hours with day and night temperatures of 26 to 31 degrees Celsius and 10 to 17 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Moderate dust haze is expected over the entire country within the next 24 hours with localised visibility of less than or equal to 1000m.”
