After a successful conclusion of the 2012/2013 football season, which witnessed a lot of high points, the Executive Board of the Nigeria National League has announced that the new season will commence on November 6.
Also, the board has hinted that there will be a pre-season seminar, which will be organized for club officials and stakeholders before the kickoff of the league.
The Chairman of NNL board, High Chief Emeka Inyama, who dropped this hint on Thursday, said that the new league season will start on November 6 across the nation.
Inyama disclosed that the resumption of the league has become imperative in order to ensure the early conclusion of the football season.
Inyama, who is also an Executive Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation, revealed that the league will see an improvement in organization, management and prosecution of the competition because of the many innovations to be introduced in the new season.
According to him: “Club officials and other stakeholders will converge for a seminar before the kickoff of the league so that they will be educated on how best to make the league meet the expectations of the board.”
The former Abia State Sports Commissioner also disclosed that every effort will be made to ensure that the Nigeria National League is attractive to sponsors just as he urged all the teams that will participate in the league to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations guiding the competition.
