Emeka Onuegbu, the Director of Administration and Supplies, National Commission for Museums and Monuments, has been appointed as acting Director-General of the commission.
A statement in Abuja by Maureen Enem, the Public Relations Officer of NCMM, on Tuesday stated that the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, approved the appointment.
Enem noted that the appointment followed the retirement of the former Director-General, Malam Yusuf Usman, “after a successful tenure”.
She stated that Onuegbu graduated with BSc in Political and Administrative Studies at University of Maiduguri.
She said the acting director-general obtained a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from University of Lagos in 1993 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1995.
According to Enem, Onuegbu has many publications to his credit and is a member of
Nigerian Institute of Management.
