Man jumps into Lagos canal, dies

A man at about midday on Saturday jumped into a canal in the Festac area of Lagos State.
The incident was reported to the police by his family members who later became aware of the development.
Local divers were mobilized by the police to rescue him.
Available report has it that he died.
The spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, confirmed the incident.
