The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital has distanced itself from the advert announcing an internship programme at the hospital circulating on social media, especially WhatsApp.
According to a statement on Monday by the Office of the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adetokunbo Fabamwo, the advert did not originate from LASUTH and neither has the facility authorised anyone to issue such advert on its behalf.
It emphasised that if the hospital intends to initiate such an internship programme, it will be announced through its official communication channel as well as that of the Lagos State Government.
The release, therefore, warned the general public to be wary of such information initiated by unscrupulous individuals whose sole intent is to defraud unsuspecting individuals of their hard-earned money.
