Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has approved the appointment of a new director of sports.
He is Dr. Kweku Adedayo Tandoh, an experienced sports administrator.
According to statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Sports Council, Bashiru Agunloye, the appointment took effect from September 13.
The new director, who was the secretary general of the 18th National Sports Festival, tagged Eko 2012, was introduced to the management of the council by the Permanent Secretary, Office of Sports, Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Development, Abiola Awonuga.
Speaking at the event, Tandoh said: “This appointment by the Governor Babatunde Fashola is a privilege and honour for me to serve in the area which I have passion for and I promise not to disappoint on this appointment.”
