The representative of Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, has narrated how he escaped bullets from gunmen who attacked his convoy.
Recall that he was attacked on Sunday night in Enugwu Ukwu community, Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.
According to an initial report published by The Eagle Online, no fewer than seven persons, including policemen, died during the attack.
This was based on a video seen by The Eagle Online from the scene of the incident.
Ubah, who spoke through his Media Assistant, Kameh Ogbonna, has explained how he went through the hail of bullets unscathed.
Ogbonna said in a statement on Sunday night: “If not for the bullet proof jeep the senator was riding in, he would have been dead by now.
“We were passing Enugwu Ukwu junction when they hit us from all sides and as I speak with you Obum, the special aide to the senator is dead.
“About seven security operatives were hit by the assassins’ bullets.”
