Flying Eagles, Cote d’Ivoire battle on astro turf

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will on Saturday battle their west African counterparts, the Junior Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire, on the artificial pitch of the Caroline Faye Stadium in M’bour, Senegal.
The Manu Garba-lads, who have since enjoyed the lurch grass turf in Dakar, took some time to train on the artificial ahead of the crunchy time against the Junior Elephants.
The Flying Eagles’ training started at 4:30pm before their opponents, the Ivorians, took their turn at 6pm.
Nigeria won its previous two games to secure an unassailable six points, while the Ivorians walk on a tight rope with just two points from the same number of games.
