Wife of the Ekiti State Governor-Elect, Bisi Fayemi, on Saturday, surprisingly visited the outgoing governor, Ayodele Fayose at the Government House.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the outgoing governor received members of the Inauguration Committee and Transition Committee set up by the Governor-elect, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, who was on a working visit to the Government House.
Led by the wife of the governor-elect, Fayemi, the committee was received by outgoing Governor Fayose and some members of his cabinet.
NAN reports that Fayose, who said he was happy to receive the team, restated his readiness to cooperate with the incoming administration.
He disclosed that he would officially hand over the government house tomorrow, Sunday to the state police commissioner, having first handed over the government’s handover notes to the Head of Service on Friday.
Fayemi commended Fayose for hosting the committee, noting that the visit and inspection was part of the committee’s assignment.
She expressed delight on the availability of the complex to host some of the guests that would be on ground for Fayemi’s inauguration.
NAN reports that those on Fayemi’s entourage include: Deji Ajayi, Tade Aluko, Dapo Karonwi, Biodun Oyebanji and Bunmi Obanise.
