Governor Oyebanji in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode said the latest recognition has sealed an eternal place of honour for Chief Olanipekun as an international leader of the Bar and a globally recognized jurist.
This follows his inauguration alongside other members of the committee at an inauguration ceremony held at the National Headquarters of the party in Abuja on Wednesday.
He said this on Tuesday when he received leaders of the Ekiti State chapter of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere.
The Afenifere team was led by its Chairman, Elder Yemi Alade, to the Governor’s Office in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
The award came barely twenty-four hours after the Governor received the Leadership Governor of the year (2025) award in recognition of his transformative leadership and people-oriented development efforts.
A statement by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, confirmed the development, revealing that the ceremony will take place at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Governor Oyebanji also said that the President’s policies are the driving force behind his administration’s achievements and successes.
Governor Oyebanji described drug abuse as a silent epidemic, tracing its root causes to individuals, families and the wider society.
He said frequent disruption to academic activities usually undermines students’ learning outcome and place unnecessary burden on them as well as their parents and guardians.
The training for the PWD’s in Ekiti will cover tailoring, catering services, shoe-making, hairdressing, ICT, and soap-making.
