Alhaji Muhammadu Bashar, the Emir of Gwandu and Chairman of the Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, has commended the management of Jaiz Bank for establishing a branch in the state.
The monarch gave the commendation when he received officials of the bank on a courtesy visit in Birnin Kebbi on Friday.
Bashar said the establishment of the bank would avail the people of the opportunity to open accounts with the bank as it ran its transactions in strict adherence to the principles and doctrines of Islam.
Bashar assured the management of the bank of his readiness to support it in achieving its set objectives.
Earlier, the bank’s Assistant Managing Director, Alhaji Muhammad Mahe, told the emir that the purpose of their visit was to seek his fatherly support and invite him to the official inauguration of the branch.
Mahe assured the emir that the bank would discharge its duties effectively in adherence to the laid down rules and regulations guiding the banking system in the state.
