National Conference Delegates have recommended life imprisonment for government official found guilty of stealing pension and any public funds.
Conference also agreed 50 years imprisonment for any judicial officer found guilty of corruption or abuse of office and loss of all official entitlements.
This is just a delegate was walked out of plenary session following her refusal to use her at plenary during consideration of Committee report.
It also resolved that anybody convicted of rape should go into life imprisonment with hard labour and death penalty for rape of minor.
In addition, Conference kicked against the committee’s recommendation to allocate 30 percent of decision making in the country to youths.
These resolutions were arrived at after heated debates on the report of the Committee on Civil Society, Labour, Youths and Sports considered chaired by Bola Ogunrinade.
The Chairman of the Committee while explaining on corrupt officials said that

It was agreed that all organizations that employed workers more than six months as causual be converted to full staff.
Proposal by the Committee that government should phase-out Higher National Diploma program was rejected by Conference delegates.
Furthermore, recommendation that Job seekers allowance should be paid to graduates in Nigeria was also rejected.
