The Chief Imam of Ibadanland and President General of the League of Imams and Alfas in the South West, including Edo and Delta States, Sheikh Baosari Suara Haruna III, is dead.
Haruna died on Thursday morning.
He was reported to have been ill.
He was aged 93.
Haruna will buried on Thursday at 3pm in Ibadan.
The cleric, according to the President of the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, died early on Friday morning following a brief illness.
Balogun said he would be buried Thursday in Ibadan in line with Islamic tradition.
