George Sekibo, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers East Senatorial District, has been declared winner of the rerun in Rivers State by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Sekibo was announced the winner on Tuesday afternoon.
The election was conducted on Saturday.
Sekibo defeated Andrew Uchendu of the All Progressives Congress.
He scored 93,098 votes, while Uchendu had 34,193 votes.
