Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society Worldwide has declared June 8, 2014 as a special day of fasting and prayer to call on Allah to save the nation from the Boko Haram menace.
On that day, all the zones and branches of the Muslim organization, home and abroad, will engage in fasting and prayer, soliciting Allah’s relief from the siege that has been inflicted on Nigeria and Nigerians by the forces of evil manifested in the wanton killings, maiming, abductions, arson, disruption of economic activities, extortion and general state of fear and insecurity unleashed on the nation by Boko Haram.
In a statement jointly signed by its President, Alhaji Sherif Yusuf, and General Secretary, Lukmon Folorunso, NASFAT condemned the activities of the sect.
NASFAT will also seize the opportunity to pray for Allah’s comforting grace on all those who have suffered personal losses in the spate of the evil attacks and abductions, as well as beseech Allah to reveal and bring to justice the perpetrators of the heinous act against humanity.
NASFAT prayed to Allah to frustrate their evil intents and bring them to face the most severe punishments for their dastardly deeds.
NASFAT’s resort to fasting and prayer, the organisation said, is motivated by the conviction that Allah is the Supreme Creator of the universe and all the forces that exist within it are subservient to His powers.
God is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing Disposer of all affairs in the world, the group said.
It added that at the call of His name, with sincerity and devotion, all other powers are disarmed except as may please Allah to grant limited room.
NASFAT therefore enjoined all faithful believers in the Supremacy of God to pray for reprieve and release of Nigeria from these evil forces, the safe return of the abducted schoolgirls and divine protection against all such attacks in the future.
