Baring any unforeseen event, players and officials of Super Eagles will depart Abuja for Kigali, Rwanda, on Monday night via a chartered flight.
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Aminu Maigari, is expected to lead the Nigerian delegation to Kigali.
Maigari will be joined by some of his board members.
Nigeria is billed to take on the Wasp of Rwanda on Wednesday in an African Cup of Nations qualifier.
Super Eagles’ Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, from all indications, will parade a mix of foreign and home based players for the crucial encounter.
It is recalled that Nigeria missed the last edition of African Cup of Nations jointly hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
In a related development, Maigari was the august visitor to the national team’s camp on Friday to pep up the players ahead of their encounter next Wednesday in Kigali , Rwanda .
Miagari, who had earlier heaped praises on the team following their 2-0 win over Liberia, said the battle for the rebirth of football in the country has just started and that the NFF and indeed the Federal Government and the Nigerian people are solidly behind the team.
All entitlements due to the players and officials he said, are fully ready and will be given as and when due, urging the players to be fully focused on the task at hand and win back the confidence of the teeming Nigerian football fans, including President Goodluck Jonathan.
Keshi assured Nigerians of the team’s readiness, saying he was aware of the expectations of Nigerians.
He promised Nigerians that the team will not let the nation down in the battle for places for the South Africa 2013 Nations Cup and the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
