An amendment of the Constitution that would enable Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to have a Mayor failed again in Senate.
This is not the first time that the bill will not be passed in the Senate.
While 62 Senators voted in favour of the bill, only 25 Senators kicked against the amendment.
The bill is titled, “A Bill for an Act to Alter the Provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 to provide for the Office of the Mayor for the Federal Capital Territory Administration Abuja; and for Related Matters.
