The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, and his Kwara State counterpart, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, have made their first appointments hours after they were inaugurated.
While Ahmed’s first appointments were largely those that made his team in his first term, Ambode’s was mainly fresh hands.
Ahmed is in his second term, while Ambode is fresh in office.
Ahmed on Friday named Isiaka Gold as the Secretary to the Government, the same position the appointee held in the last term.
The Head of Service is Zarah Umar, while Yusuf Babatunde Abdulwahab is the Chief of Staff.
Dr. Muyideen Akorede is the Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity; Ibrahim Kayode Adeyemi is the SSA, Government House; Abdulwahab Oba, the Chief Press Secretary; and Segun Abifarin, the Special Adviser, Domestic.
In a statement he personally signed in, Ambode named Tunji Bello as the SSG, while Samuel Olukunle Ojo is the Chief of Staff.
Abiodun Bamgboye was named the Principal Private Secretary, with Habib Adamson Aruna as Chief Press Secretary.
All the appointments are with immediate effect.
