Adewusi, Akande top list of new appointees into NIPOST, NCC, others

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday made more appointments into his government.
According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, President Buhari made the appointments in his desire to fast-track the targets and mandate of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
For the NCC, Prof. Adeolu Akande (South West) replaces Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye (South West) as Chairman, Board of Commissioners, an appointment subject to Senate confirmation.
Uche Onwude (South East) replaces Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Ararume (South East) as Non-Executive Commissioner in the NCC, also subject to Senate confirmation.
For the National Information Technology Development Agency, Dr. Abubakar Sa’id replaces Prof. Akande as Board Chairman, while Dr. Habibu Ahmed Imam (North West) replaces Dr. Lawal Bello Moriki (North West) and Dr. Mohammed Sa’idu Kumo as Board Member.
For the Nigerian Postal Service, Dr. Ismail Adebayo Adewusi (South West) replaces Bisi Adegbuyi (South West) as Postmaster General/CEO.
For Galaxy Backbone Limited, Prof. Muhammed Bello Abubakar replaces Architect Yusuf Kazaure, while in the Nigeria Communications Satellite Limited, Kazaure replaces Dr. George Moghalu as Board Chairman; Dr. Najeem Salam replaces Hon. Samson Osagie as Executive Director, Marketing and Business Development; Prof. Abdu Ja’afaru Bambale replaces Kazeem Kolawole Raji as Executive Director, Technical Services; Hadi Mohammed replaces Mohammed Lema Abubakar as Executive Director, Administration.
